Thanks for all the input, Q Nation.

Getting a lot of feedback re: the Alice Cooper show ... as I mentioned on an earlier post, there's nothing we could do to keep Cooper. It's delivered by satellite and we're too far east of the satellite footprint to get it cleanly.

Alice's weekend show is delivered online by a secure FTP site and we're able to pick that up ... so Alice is now on Q104 Saturday nights starting at 8pm.

NIkki Sixx's "Sixx Sense" is getting better every day as he and his co-host, Kerri Kasem (YES, Casey Kasem's daughter), are developing some great chemistry. He's only been a "DJ" for a few weeks, I think he's getting a handle on it pretty quickly!

Only big beef i have with the new playlists is the lack thereof local music and Canadian Indie music. Other than that if I hear enter sandman anymore I'll have to shoot myself

I agree. It's not that the Q plays bad music, it's just that that you literally wear out a song's welcome. I mean, Metallica has what, 9 records out, and you play 4 or 5 songs. Same thing with Iron Maiden. They have 14 studio albums, and you play 2 songs. It seems like you have a set playlist of what YOU want to hear and that's it. I mean, you have killed Tall Trees, and Building a Boat, yet I never hear Terminal Romance or 850 Commando from Mays. I'm a huge Steve Earle fan but I'm utterly sick of Copperhead Road. Play New York City, or Here I am. He did songs with the Supersuckers that are rocking songs. Even Johnny Come Lately is an awesome rocking tune. You need to be more loose in what you play.

Nikki Sixx is taking a while to warm up to, but it could be worse and they play great music. The new playlist is okay, but you guys gotta start playing some Breaking Benjamin! If the Nickelback tour with them opening comes this way, everyone will be saying " Who the heck are they?" and they've got a bunch of awesome albums out there.

Sorry to say that I am not enjoying the new format in the morning..I'm finding myself either turning down the music waiting for songs to get over hoping the next song will be better or wait for the 'crew' to start talking again.

I saw Breaking Benjamin a few years ago in Charlottetown during the Festival of Lights. They weren't really that great. Very ordinary and kind of boring.

Yeah I agree about the songs that are played in heavy rotation...as much as I love Metallica's Enter Sandman playing on the radio (more so when my guitar is near by and I can play along) Metallica has so many other great songs out there that are radio friendly. Just like so many other bands on your heavy rotation list. And yes I like Copperhead Road by Steve Earle but I hear it played so often that I sometimes forget he even wrote another song. Good thing I saw him on TV the other evening performing other songs haha. Guess what I'm saying here is that Heavy Rotation should go on a diet and shed a few songs and maybe try out some new songs to fill the void. I believe you guys were told first hand by Bas himself that his album Angel Down is on the Canadian Artists list and should be part of your Canadian content airtime.....I've yet to hear anything from it thou

So where's the new music for this week?? Haha
